Young Adult Small Group
Meets every 2nd/4th Saturday from 4-6 PM
Held at Luis and Shelby Manos’ House (unless otherwise stated)
Looking for a place to grow in your faith and have a blast doing it? Join our Young Adult Bible Study as we journey through Season 1 of The Chosen – diving into the life of Jesus and His followers in a fresh, relatable way. We meet every other Saturday (unless otherwise stated), and here’s the rhythm:
2 Saturdays of Discussion – We reflect on a previous episode, unpack it together, and get real about how it connects to our lives today.
On the third meetup, we ditch the discussion and go full send into 3-4 hours of games, food, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
Whether you’re brand new to the Bible or you’ve grown up in church, this group is a safe, laid-back space to ask questions, build friendships, and discover what following Jesus looks like together.
Come hang out. Bring a friend. Live Chosen.
Contact Luis Manos Jr. HERE for any questions!
Men's Ministry

Monthly Ironman activities will alternate between two modules:
The Expedition – is the enjoyable Fellowship Activity portion of the ministry. Activities which men can do together which build friendships and fosters a sense of community among men. The Expedition will normally happen off the campus of FSBC which may include outdoor activities and even service-related opportunities.
The Forge – is a time of spiritual reflection; Biblical study; and small group discussion all of which forge within us a greater commitment to God; a time which will take us deeper in our walk with Jesus and leave us transformed by the renewing of our minds.
The Expedition and Forge modules will meet alternately every other month.
Women's Ministries

The Women of Worth (WOW) Ministry holds monthly get togethers for women who attend the church (visitors welcome). Ranging from brunch, bowling, parties, and so much more!
Contact Yvette HERE if you have any questions about their upcoming events or the cause they are currently getting behind!

Benevolence Ministry
We want to minister to people in need and so one of the functions which our Deacons oversee is a benevolence ministry to help people in the Foothills area who are in need of gas for their vehicles or food to help them from going hungry.
If you have a financial need in either of these two areas, please stop by the office during business hours, and fill out a Benevolence Request form. A deacon will contact you the same day to help you with what you need.
Building and Grounds Ministry

We love our church campus, and we have a dedicated group of volunteers who work hard to keep our campus looking beautiful!
Our Cleaning Team meets on Thursday mornings at 8am to clean and organize the church for Sunday. They usually eat breakfast at a local restaurant after the job is done. Contact Charlotte Carter HERE for more information on serving.
If you’d like to help with Building and Grounds contact Dave Hernandez by email HERE.
Caring Ministries

The Caring ministry is a voluntary team of committed people from Foothills Southern Baptist Church. We desire to demonstrate our love for Jesus, and for others by coming alongside people, to lend our support and help to those in need through a tangible hands-on ministry. From taking home-bound people to the doctor or to the grocery store; from providing meals to doing chores, our ministry team members want to make an impact in the lives of people in need, fulfilling Jesus’ command to love one another.
Our Mission Statement: The Caring Ministry of Foothills Southern Baptist Church exists to reach out with God’s Love to make a positive impact upon the lives of those within our community.
Our Inspiration: “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfil the law of Christ.” – Galatians 6:2
Extent of the Ministry: The Caring Ministry is targeted for those within our church family, and those outside of our church body who reside within the Foothills Area of Yuma.
There are six ministry tracks that our Caring team can provide you or your family. Each is designed to help carry your burdens, depending upon the need.
The Visitation Track of the Caring Ministry will be focused upon visitors, regular attenders, and members of FSBC to get acquainted and become aware of needs. This includes the homebound, the sick or hospitalized; those suffering a recent loss or tragedy, or those needing encouragement.
The Sitting Track is a ministry designed to give a break to care-givers of home-bound or long-term care patients.
The Chores Track is a ministry intent on helping people in need with occasional household chores who are struggling after some traumatic event.
The Shopping Track exists to help families in need who are unable to do periodic shopping for essential needs.
The Transportation Track provides periodic rides to and from medical appointments or necessary transportation situations.
The Prayer Track aims to pray for the needs of those both inside and outside the church body who have made their needs known.

Evangelism Ministry

The 4.19 Expedition is an evangelism strategy and outreach team of people from Foothills Southern Baptist Church, committed to intentional outreach ministry to reach the lost within its community for Jesus and fulfill God’s Great Commission given to the local church. It is based upon one simple and well-known idea: “Let’s go Fishing!”, drawn from Matthew 4:19.
We commit ourselves to going beyond the walls of our church into the community to present the gospel to the Foothills Community.
Each year we have 2 Evangelistic campaigns, one in the Fall and one in the Spring, where we intentionally reach out into the Foothills community with the gospel.
Homeless Ministry

And the Lord said to his servant, ‘Go into the highways and hedges and compel them to come in, so that my house might be filled.” Luke 14:23
Homeless ministry is unique in that to minister to the homeless, one has to intentionally go into the highways and hedges around town to find them. For typically, they move from one place to another. Where they sleep is a different place than where they hang out during the day. Homeless ministry is a purely compassionate ministry since these people will never be able to repay the kindness one shares with them. Some may be repulsed by what they find in the life of these hopeless people. Drug addiction, violence, mental illness, and disease are just some of the things that one is apt to find when you minister to such people.
And yet Jesus told us that if we show kindness unto the least of these, you show kindness unto me.
How to get involved
The road that leads to involvement in the Highways and Hedges ministry is a simple one. There are 5 destinations where you can jump on board:
See the Need
“And the Lord said to his servant, ‘Go into the highways and hedges and compel them to come in so that my house might be filled.” – Luke 14:23
Remember, often God has chosen the lowly things of this world, and the things that are despised, and the things that are not, to nullify the things that are.
Donate
Pick up a needs list at the display table and donate breakfast foods, gently used clothing, or blankets, etc. You can also donate financially to the “Foothills On Mission” Designated Funds Account.
Pray
Set some time aside each week to pray for those who need Jesus and for those who serve them.
Make a Mat
Join the ladies of FSBC every 2nd Saturday of the Month @ 8am in Building A and learn how to make a sleeping mat for the homeless. You can also donate any empty grocery bags you have for this on-going project.
Serve
Join the outreach team every 2nd Saturday of the Month @ 7:30am at Heritage Library and help serve a hot breakfast to those who come. Learn to share the gospel with those who need to hear it.
For more information or questions please contact Pastor Chris HERE.
House 2 House

Then the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone; I will make him a helper suitable for him.” Genesis 2:18
God knew that long-term, prolonged loneliness is not a healthy thing for any person to endure throughout their lifetime. It is often most keenly felt during the holidays, anniversary’s, and other occasions that remind Senior Singles that they live as a single in a world of double beds. To combat this; and to foster a good healthy Christian support system in our church for Senior Singles that would lead to natural organic discipleship between friends, we introduce this new encouragement ministry called House-to-House Gatherings (aka H2H).
H2H is a fun opportunity where 55+ senior single adults, both widowed and divorced, come together for either a brunch or a lunch on the first Saturday every other month for social connection and for the development of friendships with others who just happen to be in the same life situation. We hope that this ministry of encouragement will be an outgrowth of our oneness as the Body of Christ; that we might demonstrate that we are as such by fulfilling the command of Scripture, in Romans 12:15 by “Rejoicing with those who rejoice and weeping with those who weep.”
H2H is basically a house party with a fun component that has as its ultimate goal to move disconnected singles into a healthy Christian community of friends that enables them to feel loved, cared for and supported by their brothers and sisters of FSBC in a friendly, and meaningful way.
Call the office @ 928-342-3557 to find out about the next H2H Gathering.
Missions Ministry
At Foothills, we believe that Jesus’ Great Commission to the church means three things:
Praying for Missions: Each year during Christmas time we have a week of prayer for Southern Baptist Missionaries around the world.
Giving to Missions: Each year, once during Christmas time and once during Easter our church gives over and above what we normally do to missions. We give to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering and to the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering
Going to Missions: We also believe that we must personally invest our time to go to the mission field on short-term missions opportunities to serve and to share.
